I’m thrilled to be a part of a new collaborative effort in social media. Voyces.
A few months ago a group of us, all of whom will be blogging here, got together and realized that with the declining media environment, less pages in the trade press and the failure of the remaining outlets to be able to provide enough coverage of what is still a very much growing sector, that there was a need to be filled. That need was the Independent voice on voice communications.
Enter Voyces.
Unlike the commercial sites, we’re not ad based. The writers aren’t paid. And, we’re not doing this to drive page views. We’re all doing this for one reason. We all care.
We care about the industry that our livelihoods are based upon, and we care about each other. This group is a mix of technologists, sales professionals, entrepreneurs and yes, even a marketing communications professional. We all have our own businesses to run, and we all have our own blogs. And yet, while we’re all independent, we all share that same passion for technology and a specific sector called Voice.
So join us here as we make Voyces, the home for voice, on the web. We know you’ll be hearing more from all of us, soon.
Congrats on the launch, Andy! I’m looking forward to what you all will post here!
Congrats and send us posts to link to at SiliconANGLE we have the same model for over a year. Great stuff
Andy,
This is great news, I’m surprised I just learned of it by chance and that you didn’t come over to VUC and shout it out. Looking forward to hearing from Voyces. Perhaps someone would come by and explain the genesis of it to us?
